We’ve kicked off the summer by welcoming talented new artists to the gallery including Vicky Hageman, Ellen Hayward and Word Play Clay!
It's always exciting when we receive new work and add new artists to the cambridge contemporary crafts family! We couldn't do what we love without the endless support that we receive from our lovely customers. Keep shopping small and local (when you can) and keep indie business like us going so we can share more fantastic artwork with you!
As usual we are open Monday – Friday 10 am – 5:30pm and Sundays 11 am – 5pm.

New arrivals
CommentOur Summer Exhibition is a great opportunity to introduce new artists to our customers. It’s such a pleasure to display new work by printmakers Adrian Holmes and Merlyn Chesterman and watercolour artist Niall MacCrann.
All prints in the gallery are handmade using traditional printmaking techniques; we have etchings, linocuts, screenprints and more. We are very proud to say that you won’t find digitally reproduced prints in our browsers!

July at cambridge contemporary crafts
This month our windows feature fantastic new sculptures by Cat Santos and beautiful ceramic vessels by Penny Withers. We also welcome new work by Yorkshire based textile and printmakers Folded Forest to the gallery. You can find work by all the artists on our online shop, or pop into the gallery to see them in person!
Penny Withers uses glaze reactions to capture evocative landscapes, mountains and oceans within her stunning hand-thrown vessels.
Cat Santos is a printmaker and ceramicist and creates stoneware sculptures and vases inspired by everyday thoughts and moments. Her aim is to capture the wonder it is to live on this earth.
SUMMER SHOW
CommentSummer is finally here and so is our Summer Show! We can’t believe we have already passed the longest day of the year. It has been a joy to be open again, we hope you will enjoy all the new work we have in the gallery as much we do!

CommentWe have been really enjoying the summer weather. It’s so nice to see that so many of you have chosen to book your holidays and weekends away in Cambridge! Our show Design in Colour featuring silkscreen prints and paintings by Susie Stone and ceramics by Arjan Van Dal continues until 20th June.

This month has seen the arrival of lots of brilliant new work at Cambridge Contemporary Crafts! Our collection of ceramic jewellery has grown thanks to fresh earrings and necklaces by Clay Shed Studio, which are available to buy online and in the gallery.
Cambridge Contemporary Crafts are delighted to welcome new artist Emily Marston to the gallery! Emily creates contemporary rings and earrings using porcelain, polished to a lovely smooth finish.
We also have a stunning new collection of black stoneware vessels by Judy Adams featuring bold abstract motifs. The entire collection can be found on our website and online shop.
We’re open as usual Monday – Saturday 10am-5:30pm
Sundays 11am – 5pm

Role would suit well-presented and well spoken, flexible, motivated, organized person with a strong interest in contemporary visual art and delivering excellent customer service.
Number of hours per week: min 21 hours, max 37.5 hours, hours will vary from week to week and will include 1 weekend day. Rotas are planned one month in advance.
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: £10.20 p/h
Closing date for application forms: Midnight Sunday 20th June.

CommentIt’s been an absolute pleasure to dedicate the gallery to ceramics this past month. We love introducing new makers to our customers and we were finally able to do that in person! After so many months on lockdown, it’s wonderful to see people physically in the gallery experiencing art as it should be.

Time to reopen our doors and welcome you back into cambridge contemporary crafts! We are very happy to come out the other side of Lockdown 3.0 thanks to the support of our wonderful customers. Now spring is here bringing sunshine, optimism and lots of fantastic new ceramics, glass, sculptures, textiles, jewellery and cards all handmade by our amazing UK based artists.
We are delighted to welcome new artist Natalie Bell to the gallery! Natalie creates colourful slipcast vessels from her studio in Mansfield. Her work is currently featuring in our vibrant new window display alongside Nell Smith, Alice Duck and Nordanstyle. We can’t wait for you to visit and see them in person.
