Flora Fabris

Flora’s ceramics are made in her garden studio in Greenwich, London.

Trained as a civil engineer, Flora has spent many years navigating through different art forms, before finding the media that fully satisfies my need to combine functionality with creativity: clay.

Her preference goes to organic shapes, natural colours, and tactile textures. She works mainly on the potter’s wheel with stoneware clays, fired in an electric kiln, often incorporating wood-ashes and wild clays in her makes.

Over the years, she has developed a strong connection to the Japanese concept of wabi-sabi, constantly learning to welcome acceptance, transience, and imperfection in her work.
