Suleyman Saba

Suleyman Saba has been working with clay in his London based studio for nearly 30 years, and is known for his wheel thrown ceramics. He creates tableware and statement pieces that share his love of traditional making techniques with modern sensibilities.

His influences range from Far-Eastern traditions of ceramics and lacquerware, through to modern industrial design. The work is a distillation of these influences, striving for poise, balance and harmony.

Prior to setting up his studio, he studied ceramics at the Camberwell College of Arts, before training with Kevin Millward in Stoke-on-Trent. He is a member of the Crafts Potters Association, and his work can be found in many private and public collections within the UK and abroad.
